L’Atelier 21 is pleased to announce the second solo exhibition of visual artist Hassan Hajjaj, which will take place from December 10, 2024, to February 3, 2025. Entitled Fiq!, this exhibition is a celebration of the feats of Moroccan acrobats, and the result of an exceptional collaboration between Hassan Hajjaj and the Groupe Acrobatique de Tanger.

The origins of this exhibition trace back to a 2018 meeting in London between Hassan Hajjaj, Sanae El Kamouni, artistic director of the Groupe Acrobatique de Tanger, and Maroussia Diaz Verbèke, director, who came together to imagine a creation that would transcend artistic and cultural boundaries. This collaboration led to the 2019 launch of the performance FIQ! (Wake Up!), supervised artistically by Hassan Hajjaj, who designed the set, created the costumes, and skillfully captured the agility and creativity of these young talents. From his close work with the acrobats, Hassan Hajjaj produced photographs that form the basis of this exhibition at L’Atelier 21.
