Through installations composed of threads, needles and white surfaces, Safaa Erruas develops a body of work in which fragility becomes tension.
For several years, the artist has explored notions of borders, displacement and territorial constraint. Thread becomes a line of passage, separation or repair; space itself turns into a site where the constraints imposed on bodies and human trajectories are silently negotiated.
Between presence and disappearance, softness and unease, her works give form to what usually remains invisible.
